We are just days away now! Our Rock For The Troops event supporting PTSD awareness for both active and veterans in our armed forces is all day this Saturday at Shovelhead Lounge in Longwood, Florida. Get there early, 10 Central Florida bands have donated their time and talent playing between 1pm and midnight, plus raffles, 50/50 raffles and giveaways including tickets to Guitarmageddon 2017 Friday Oct 20th at The Haven Lounge!

On the 911 anniversary, my brother will spend the day in the nation's capital. He is part of a group sponsoring World War 2 veterans on an Honor Flight from Phoenix to Washington DC to see the war memorials. What a great opportunity! Not only is Honor Flight a tribute to the vets of the Greatest Generation who sacrificed to make the world a better place, but its also an inspirational, life changing experience for everybody involved. And the fact that this Honor Flight will be in the nation's capital on the 911 anniversary makes it a once in a lifetime event.

Once again this morning I did what I always do on the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks—I watched in disbelief the replay of the news coverage of that terrible day.

In 2001 I saw the events unfold as they happened with my older son as he prepared for school at Conway Middle School. On this day 12 years later I shared my thoughts with my younger son as we watched and remembered where we were that day .

Especially on New Year's Eve, the most dreaded question you can ever be asked is, "Sir, have you been drinking tonight?" My question to you is, have you got a plan to keep it safe tonight?
