Sandy Makes For A Scary Halloween

First of all, we feel the pain of everybody in the Northeast this Halloween. An unexpected and unwanted guest, Sandy has brought death and destruction and the rebuilding has just begun. As with all disasters, the recovery must be a partnership among government, the private sector and non-profits. If we all work together, we can get the job done. Now is the time to reach out and support the cause. As for Halloween, while you're out with the kids please be safe, wear light colors, keep vigilant and try to wrap it up before dark. Halloween can be a lot of fun but it's not just for kids. Adults like to dress up too because you can be somebody you're not. Basically, it's just a good excuse to get together with friends and family. We at Pledge4Patriots hope you enjoy the festivities tonight but while your are out with the kids, you'll have a great opportunity to teach them the value of giving and receiving. Maybe there's a kid in the neighborhood who couldn't go trick or treating or couldn't afford a costume. Kids are never too young to learn the values of giving and sharing and Halloween is a great way to show them how. Think of it as a neat trick and a Halloween treat for a kid who needs a helping hand!
